The Process.

Flags start with large rolls of canvas, carefully measuring and cutting each flag to create the foundation, whether a triangle pennant, two-pointed swallowtail, or rectangle camp flag.

1. Measure & Cut

Every design is created and applied individually. No shortcuts, Cricut machine, or automated process. Just careful measuring, drawing, and hand-cut stenciling to create that authentically vintage vibe.

2. Design & Stencil

I apply permanent fabric dyes and paints to build the colors and artwork directly into the canvas, giving each flag its distinctive, durable character.

3. Dye & Paint

Every flag is sewn entirely by hand using needle and thread to give it truly unique variability. I use a traditional backstitch with outdoor-rated waxed thread.

4. Hand Stitch

Twill tape is stitched to both the front and back of the canvas creating a clean, protected edge. Twill can be left as a natural neutral, coffee stained, or color dyed.

5. Edge Binding

The final step is installing grommets using a mallet, punch, and press. Each flag is finished individually as a standalone one-of-a-kind piece.
